Safety.

Our guides are certified in wilderness first aid and swift water rescue. We employ comprehensive and well-rehearsed emergency procedures and trip contingency planning. Satellite communication devices are brought on each trip for emergency response.

The safety and well-being of our guests is our top priority. Extreme weather events and conditions beyond anyone’s control could happen such as forest fires and floods. If it is too dangerous to safely venture down the river, we will assess the situation and potentially modify our put-in location. Our itinerary leaves us some wiggle room in the event of an extreme weather event.

In the rarest of events (i.e. forest fires), we may have to exit the river early and explore other attractions within the Yukon. Though this has never happened before, it’s worth mentioning and keeping in mind. We will not take any unnecessary risks.
